In May of 2019, OTLA, Ontario Trial Lawyers Association , not only made all of the arrangements for this important visit but gave us tremendous support, encouragement and coaching to help us understand the protocols and how the day was planned.
It began with a Reception in the Legislative Dining Room. Ashley gave a wonderful presentation to the MPP's, introducing our group, telling them why we were there and seeking their help. This was followed by the short version of our video, in which we had told our personal stories.
Meetings with some of the MPP's had been arranged and our group was able to meet in their offices to talk to them about our cause and why we were seeking their help.
